Beautiful Day!

Just had lunch and thought I'd show you all this:

Well if a picture can speak a thousand words I think this one says 'I told you so'.

Beautiful Roach over a pound.

I'm trying to catch babies for my survey but I keep doing battle with these bigger chaps - 5 already so far this morning!

Hello All!

I'm home again fishing for my project and I thought I'd better let you know that all is fine here!
The water's up but we're not flooded.
Our thought' s and sympathy go out to everyone effected, especially those from Mum's hometown Cockermouth where main street is under 7ft of water and a bridge has collapsed. My Grandma still lives there - but up atop a ruddy great hill so she's ok.

Thanks to everyone who's enquired how we are - everything is fine.

Right it's getting late and there's a cracking roach out there just waiting to meet me, not to mention the kingfisher, and my robins waiting for their breakfast of maggots!
(Last weekend I caught 12 roach and 3 chub in one day - 2 of the chub were absoloute belters over 2 1/2 lbs!)

Jammy Jamie

Jamie strikes again

this Sunday saw Jamie sitting in the rain on the side of the arches on a horrible blustery day.

Well this is how he chooses to spend his day off.

Jamie's perseverance paid off just before dark with Jamie landing this beautiful Simmons carp at 16lbs 8oz but as he got it in the net he was met with the sound of his other buzzer which left Emma in charge(girlfriend) after a dogged fight Jamie could tell he was into a good fish the fish lay in front of the swim ready to be netted but of course the net was already taken so Jamie decided to give it a bit of slack line and let it slip the hook what a pity as after Jamie calmed down he estimated that it was well above 20lbs which would of been his Pb. this has just made Jamie more determined and he Will be spending more of his days off trying to settle the score.

dad says jamie now has "a passion for angling"
ps Ryan. jamie said he can smell that 5 pounds
