The fish really started feeding on Friday with a slight raise in temperature. Most anglers started to catch. Jamie's account below is typical of how things switched on.
hi val/paul....just a quick email to say thanks for yet another good
weekends fishing at lonsdale landed 8 fish and lost 6 also biggest was a nice 19lb common and also had a nice wild carp at 5lbs didnt know there was wildies in there. see you again soon jamie and lyndsay
New arrivals on Saturday also started to catch most of the fish coming out on the new Lonsdale Boilies, the white chocolate & bloodworm seeming to be the most popular.
Anthony MacMahone & his friend Paul who have visited Lonsdale for quite a few years have been targeting Reed Lake & have had numerous Common Carp up to 22lbs with a bonus tench which they didn't weigh but estimated to be about 8lbs.
Lonsdale is also fishing well producing plenty of big carp, good roach & tench to 7lb 8ozs.
Looks like the fish are waking up after the strange weather we had at the start of the year.
